Blog Post #9-Reviewing Past Classes

I chose to review past student Sheena Henri’s Project 3. I chose to review her Project 3 because she is from the most recent class meaning her project will resemble the most closely what we should work on for ours. Also, her project is related to becoming a physician which is very similar to what the topic that I will be working on for my own Project 3. The genres that Sheena used were a graph, a poster, and a social media post. I actually really like the methods that she has used, and it is giving me some good inspiration for Project 3. I like how all three of her genres are not separate but rather build up to incorporate all of the pieces and elements she has been working with. Her graph provides helpful information comparing MCAT scores and acceptances. Then, her poster is an ad for talking to a pre-med advisor about discussing what it takes to become a doctor. Her third genre incorporates her last two creations into a social media post with information and the goral of once again providing people with the means to seek out advisors and information. In her reflection, Sheena talks about how she thought this project would be the most difficult, but she found that it was much easier and cohesive that she had anticipated. Currently, I still think this project will be the most difficult for me. However, after reading Sheena’s blog, I feel like I have a much better idea of how to approach this.
